Eric Sovern, Lazy Ike & friends); Katey Bellville and the Creekbones; The Brass Kings; Pert 'Near Sandstone and more HOW MUCH: $7 Kirk Rundstrom, guitartist for Split Lip Rayfield -- a crowd favorite at Lee's -- was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer. He has no health insurance. "With the support of those closest to him, Kirk is seeking immediate and aggressive treatment for his illness," a band spokesperson said in a release posted to the group's website (www.splitliprayfield.com). "He is in good spirits and has a positive and willful attitude, suitable for the trials ahead. We know and believe in our friend’s strength. With the added support of Kirk’s family, his many friends, and our amazing fans, he is destined to beat this illness." Among Kirk's fans are the folks at Lee's Liquor Lounge, who have answered the band's request for tour-stop venues to host benefit concerts. Several similar benefits have been staged already in other cities. All the net proceeds from the April 20 benefit's $10 cover charge will be donated to Kirk's relief fund. "I'm am absolutely blown away with the amount of love and support people are sending me!" Kirk said in a message posted on Split Lip's website.
