Caroline Yang Tour de France Opening Party @ One On One Bicycle Studio 9-December

Posted November 30, 2006 @ 6:07pm

JAUNE+ROUGE2006 Tour de France Photo Exhibit In the Tour de France, the race leader is awarded the Yellow Jersey. The final rider is called the Red Lantern. During the 2006 Tour, massive doping scandals turned professional cycling upside down.  This July saw cycling's top heros evicted from the race and its new champion stricken by the scarlet stain. It was a Tour of Jaune et Rouge. Please come and share in Caroline Yang's visual documentation of this extraordinary Tour de France.  One on One Studio117 Washington Avenue NorthMinneapolis Warehouse District612.371.9565 Dec 9 - Feb 17 / OPENING NIGHT Dec 9, 7pm-11pm www.carolineyang.comwww.oneononebike.com

Wed.Nite.Campout

Posted November 22, 2006 @ 6:06am

hot dang, it's turkey time again. Thanksgiving always falls on a Thursday, which naturally means that it is preceeded by a Wednesday Night. Well what better way to get away from your family, and avoid the crowded Amateur Night at the bars, with a rousing Wednesday Night overnight-bonfire-campout-sensation? None better, I'd say. Grab your warm shit, maybe an extra layer or two. A sleeping bag wouldn't be out of order if you don't want to hobbit under a pile of leaves (Trevor). Either way, it's unseasonably warm, with lows only in the mid 30's. Hell, your b.a.c. might be higher than that...Whatevs; if you're reading this, you know what to do, where to meet, etc. The ride home will be a good precursor to the food coma you're most likely to encounter later in the day.

Killed by Death

Posted November 14, 2006 @ 6:06am

I just downloaded "Killed By Death" as my nü ringtone. Pretty lame, I know, but what the hell... Tonight in the First Avenue mainroom you shall see the SuperSuckers, w/The New York Dolls. Yeah, it's only 2/5ths of the original Dolls lineup, but it should still be an interesting gig. If nothing else, David Johansen is a showman. What I wouldn't give to be seeing Johnny Thunders, though...Ok, now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Now, with more B-Rose!

Posted November 2, 2006 @ 12:09pm

You've heard the rumours, and I'm here to tell you that, yes, it is true. The CRC Coffee Bar/Cykel Garage, indeed, now, has MORE B-ROSE. Thank you, thank you, I KNOW! How awesome is that? Pretty frickin' awesome, I agree.
