Posted December 30, 2012 @ 11:41am

The ALMANZO 100 Fundraiser + Party - Saturday, Jan. 5On Saturday, January 5, 2013 there will be a fundraiser + party for the 2013 edition of Chris Skogen's venerable Almanzo 100, held at Intermedia Arts in Minneapolis. If at any point in the past 7 years you've raced gravel, thought about gravel, bought a new bike to ride gravel, I'd venture to say you owe it to Chris Skogen. Lots of great folks are bringing this event together, including Twin Six, Banjo Brothers, Royal Antler Films, Salsa Cycles, HED Wheels, Calhoun Cycle, The Waffle Van, and more. Check out the preview of, –and pre-order– the new Twin Six-designed 2013 Almanzo race kit, as well as the unveiling of Challenge Tires new Almanzo gravel tire. Music provided by Highchair Kings, featuring none other than Trevor Lettman of Space2Burn Media. This will be a good one. We hope you can join us. About the Almanzo100Since 2007 Chris Skogen and his Almanzo 100 and Royal 162 have provided the premier platform for gravel...

The saddle's a bit Merle Haggard, but you can ride it as is. Locking fork! (I do not have the key, unfortunately, but it is cool!) The purists may scoff, but I also have a brand new pair of alloy 26 x 1 3/8" Sun CR-18 rims that you could lace up with the stock hubs and have a ripping rider. the headlight works, too. *SOLD*

And it’s nearly 60° today, Thanksgiving Day, in Minnesota. This is not normal. Usually at this time we’re digging deep in our closets for thicker gloves, balaclavas, overshoes and long underwear. I arrive first and we drink coffee and talk hockey, waiting for the Colonel, and I think how great the...
