Does it count as irony if I'm sitting in Bull Run coffee as I type this, the old site of the CRC Coffee Bar? Well, technically, I'm next door, in what was once Balance Fitness Studio. But Bull Run has commandeered the entire corner so I'm calling it good. And full disclosure, Five Watt is my preferred Minnneapolis spot for coffee (black, like my heart), but they were filled to capacity when I stopped there this afternoon. I'm happy to see local, small businesses thrive. More importantly, I'm eager to support them, because I know all too well how hard it is to keep the doors open. It just goes to show you should support your local independent everything.
