Hoes, Hoes, Hoes

Posted December 25, 2004 @ 6:06am

Ahem. Happy Everything, and whatnot. Sorry for the lack of updates, but I've been in NorCal since Monday, and the temps have been pretty agreeable. So agreeable, in fact, that I've had no desire to plug in, turn on, and tune in to the international network. It's been in the low 60's and I've been hanging out outside wearing a tshirt. A big F-you to the arctic freeze that I know will be awaiting me upon my return on Tuesday. And here's an early warning to all the mad pinters up for this week's Wednesday Night Ride. One of the original Retarded Dingoes is scheduled to be arriving Wednesday, so fire up your livers for some random acts of blindness, yo!

ARRGH!- I Shake My Head NO!

Posted December 13, 2004 @ 6:06am

"I live on a street where there are many, many cars and trucks and factories that pump and bang and grind all night and day....there is so much noise."it's a smoldering 23° today in the Minneapplelpuss. Makes me long for next week, when the Donut Queen & I will head to Californianegger for 8 days. But meanwhile, in Gotham City... The lads at CHROME tell me that our vaunted new CRC Metropolis messenger bags, will, in fact, NOT be ready in time for Xmess. ARRGH! To all you naughty and nice kids out there, I do apologize, but we should have them in the not-too distant future. And along those lines, if your favorite bikedork has put CRC KIT on their list, any order received after Dec. 17 WILL NOT SHIP until after the Holidays. We will certainly try to accomodate you, but make no special promises in this season of bloated national debt. Like I said, I'm going to California (with an achin' in my heart...) You see what I mean about parties?DIMEBAG DARRELL R.I.P.

More Stuff for YOU to BUY! + ROCK-N-ROLL!

There's few things we at CRC like more than Whiskey, And if you attended the Interbike show in Las Vegas this past Rocktober, then surely you saw the lovely Ahearne Whiskey Flask at the Surly booth. Well, they're now available. Have a DRINKon ME!And just so you know, the Best Rock Album of the Year is "You're a Woman, I'm a Machine" from DEATH FROM ABOVE 1979. Like a complete dumbass, I did not go to their show last month at the Triple Rock...So with that in mind, I hope to see all of you Thursday night, at the SPLIT LIP RAYFIELD show, at First Avenue.

Xmess Radio and the Big Beat

Posted December 6, 2004 @ 6:06am

Well here we are, the first full week of December and I awake to snow-covered sidewalks and Mac sez, "have you noticed lately that the air outside smells like baby poo?" Uh, no, I have not noticed that. Big, enormous thanks to Gene & Jennifer at One On One Studio for hosting another mad opening night party on Saturday for Caroline Yang's 21 Days to show. Well worth checking out for a perspective of the Tour not usually seen in the press. For all you Holiday shoppers out there just banging your heads against the wall, stay tuned for the new CARS-R-COFFINS Messenger Bag, made for us by Chrome Industries, of San Francisco. These suckers are a DELUXE version of Chrome's popular Metropolis bag, made entirely of waterproof PVC, and will be available in White, Orange, or Gray. Pictures coming soon.

Friday afternoon ruminations on a post-Wednesday night ride blooze...

Posted December 3, 2004 @ 6:06am

I want to tell the real-life stories of our mixed up cocktail cycling brethren, croozing the mean streets every wednesday night in search of harder, faster alley runs and boiler plate ice survival riding styles, fast and loose liver damage on the frozen trails and backyard singletrack tundra of the 612 and beyond. The latenight impromptu DH sessions under Uptown bridges through construction barriers and if a little bit of debris gets thrown into the path of oncoming cars, what can you do, but lose your Kryptonite Mini from Dickies back-pocket ejection, only to return to the scene mid-afternoon for retrieval and a cigarette. We've got the real dope skinny here in the form of bike ridin' boozehounds. It's not secret and you're all invited.
